Dr. Sarah Mossad is a Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychologist licensed to practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). Dr. Mossad completed her doctoral work at The University of Toronto and The Hospital for Sick Children, studying the brain networks involved in social and cognitive development in children and adolescents diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders as well as children born very preterm. Dr. Mossad has collaborated on research as well worked clinically in various hospital and community mental health settings including: The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto Western Hospital, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Dr. Mossad has a wealth of experience in the following areas: anxiety (such as: separation anxiety, phobias, social anxiety and generalized anxiety), obsessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette Syndrome, depression symptoms, behavioural difficulties, emotion dysregulation and impulsivity. She has experience working with children and adolescents with complex comorbid mental health diagnoses and with children and adolescents with complex medical history.
Dr. Mossad uses a multi-modal therapeutic approach that utilizes several therapy approaches: cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, collaborative problem solving, mindfulness-based approaches, etc. Dr. Mossad also provides Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBIT) for individuals diagnosed with Tic disorders (Tourette Syndrome, chronic motor or vocal tics, or provisional tic disorder).
